Save-A-Vet depends entirely on volunteers like you for our work. This takes on many forms -- anything from:

• helping out with the planning & staffing of local & national events & fundraisers.

• spreading the word with our brochures and by sharing our Save-A-Vest posts & videos on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media;

• donating needed materials, supplies, equipment, and services of all kinds;

• referring us to people who can help advance the work;

• the list goes on -- so many people have helped us in so many ways!

 

Currently Saveavet is seeking volunteers in the Construction Trades to volunteer at our current project in Peru, Indiana where we are building a 14,000 square foot property that will house up to 21 disabled veterans and 25 retired K9's. Mutual healing between 2-legged and 4-legged veterans.

• Spray Foam Insulation: 14,000 sqft @ a minimum of R-19 Value

• 36 Handicap Accessible Sliding Patio Doors

• 9 Furnaces/AC Units: coverage per unit average 1,500 sqft

• 9 50g or larger Hot Water Heaters or larger/or Instant Hot Water Heaters at the same value

• 7 Washer/Dryers

• 7 Electric Stoves w/ovens

• 7 XLarge Fridge/Freezer Combos

• 7 Dishwashers

• 24 Handicap Accessible Toilets

• 14 Handicap Accessible Sinks w/faucets

• 8 Handicap Accessible Shower Head Units

• 14,000sqft of vinyl flooring equal or  similar to example

• Misc plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting supplies

• 42 ceiling fans with lights
